Training program terms

These terms apply when you opt in to “Allow QDev” in your account or extension settings. They describe what we collect, how billing benefits work, and when you qualify. Marketing copy may mention a benefit in general terms; this page is authoritative for eligibility and payout.

01What you share

When sharing is enabled, we may retain natural-language questions, JSON Schema slices (field names and types) from your AI queries, and suggestion interactions (which suggested questions you selected and whether the resulting jq or Ask succeeded). Successful outcomes may be sampled (we retain roughly twenty percent) so the corpus stays balanced; we always retain failures. Records are stored in a de-identified training corpus (not linked to your account) while sharing is on. When you opt out, we delete your program participation records; de-identified corpus rows are not tied to you. We do not collect values from your documents.

Sharing is off by default. You can disable it at any time; we stop collecting new records when you do.

02Billing benefits

From time to time we may offer a billing benefit (for example, a discount on QDev Pro) to accounts that participate in the program. Benefits are not guaranteed, are limited to one per account unless we say otherwise, and are applied only when you meet the qualification criteria below.

03Qualification

To qualify for a program benefit, all of the following must be true:

• Continuous participation: sharing remains enabled for at least seven (7) consecutive days from your opt-in date.
• Minimum usage: at least ten (10) qualifying interactions while sharing is enabled if you have an active QDev Pro subscription, or at least five (5) if you are on the free tier. A qualifying interaction is an AI Ask that we retain (typically a failed Ask) or a completed suggestion interaction (you selected a suggestion and we recorded the outcome) while sharing is on. Sampled successful Asks do not count toward this minimum.
• Pro renewal timing: if you are a Pro subscriber, we will not apply a benefit to a billing cycle that renews within seven (7) days of qualification. Benefits apply to a later invoice instead.
• Good standing: your account is not flagged for abuse, and records appear consistent with normal product use.

If you disable sharing before a benefit is applied, you forfeit qualification for that opt-in period. Re-enabling starts a new earning period from zero.

04Payout

When you qualify, we apply the benefit automatically (for example, via Stripe on your subscription or at checkout). We do not publish a checklist or progress meter in the product; eligibility is evaluated on our systems.

05Changes

We may change these terms or end the program. Changes apply prospectively. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
